More Corinth Pics

My attempt at an artistic photo of the Temple of Apollo.
The Fountain of Glauce. After Jason returned from his voyage with the Argonauts to get the Golden Fleece, he went to Corinth and the king gave Jason his daughter Glauce in marriage. Jason's current wife Medea was not happy about it, and she made Glauce a poisoned dress that caused her to burst into flames. Glauce tried to put herself out by jumping in the spring that fed this fountain.
The column on the right is Corinthian.

Another shot of the Temple of Apollo
These are shops in ancient Corinth. Maybe Paul bought something made of Corinthian leather here.
The top of the bema where Paul spoke.
Fountain of Peirene. According to legend, the Foutain was the result of the nymph Peirene crying until she became a spring after Artemis accidently killed her son. Pegasus liked to drink at this fountain, though we did not see him.

The Temple of Apollo again. In the background you can see the Gulf of Corinth.
