This is a nice view from the table at the taverna where we had lunch. The taverna is 112 years old, and Brigitte Bardot and Laurence Olivier frequented it when they were in Athens. Tamzen had some wonderful stuffed grape leaves (dolmades for those in the know). I had some great lamb souvlaki. We also enjoyed some delicious briny olives that were drizzled with olive oil and sprinkled with oregano. Our first Athens meal was completed with Greek coffees.

You should always take time for a coffee. The Greeks' economic practices may be dismal but their food is not. I think we would all love to hear more about your take on both!
